Hi, I'm Thomas Fuchs. 

I'm the author of Zepto.js and script.aculo.us, and have been involved in web development since 1994 (yes, I'm that old) and open source since the early 2000s.

With Amy Hoy I'm building cheerful software, like Noko Time Tracking and Every Time Zone and write books like Retinafy.me.

I'm highly skeptical of tech hype cycles, and the last decade or two saw a few of these, with the “AI” craze still ongoing currently. Most of the others (like cryptocurrency) are luckily dissipating.

Software should be written for humans, not for the hype du jour. Particularly web development (my main focus since the 1990s) has been hit hard ever-changing fads, out-of-control adoption of technology that's not fit for the purpose it's used for, architecture astronautism and it's been relentlessly assaulted by no-good tech-bros.
